Piece description from the artist
These three boys live in the small village of Daru Tunkia in Sierra Leone near the Liberia border. They have to endue the post civil war conditions including extreme poverty, poor housing and even poorer healthcare. They can not afford the luxury of attending school, so every morning as their friends run down the path to the schoolhouse they are out on the front porch reading and studying Arabic in hopes of a better life.
Chris Davidson is a freelance cinematographer and photographer based in Los Angeles, Calif.
