Boston's Christopher Columbus Park

Piece description from the artist

A Pen & Ink drawing of Christopher Columbus Park in Downtown Boston along the infamous North End. This waterfront park is currently roiled in controversy as the its name has sparked anger amongst many who dislike Columbus. In fact, someone recently vandalized the statue by decapitating the head of Columbus. A crime, yes, but also an effective way to gain attention to a cause. I spent many a New Year's Eve at this park, situated up in the rafters of the trellis watching the fireworks explode over the harbor, along with thousands of other Bostonians. It's a great park, and I am proud to have drawn it in my own way. Enjoy the art!
