Piece description from the artist
A pen and ink drawing of the Hancock Tower and Trinity Church in historic Copley Square, Boston, Massachusetts. While sketching this piece in downtown Boston, I began to turn my head to the left. Then a little bit more, and a bit more. I realized I wanted to make this drawing a bit surrealistic in its composition by morphing the two buildings just a bit, rather than simply drawing them "as is." I am pleased with the results and glad I went down this path. The Hancock is now officially called 200 Clarendon, but to Bostonians, it will forever be "The Hancock Building" or even "The Plywood Palace" (a reference from the 1970's when the window panes were falling out of it). I love both of these buildings and I hope you like my rendition of them. Enjoy the art!
