Union Oyster House, Boston

Piece description from the artist

A pen & ink drawing of Boston's historic Union Oyster House, located in the heart of downtown Boston, near to Faneuil Hall. It is among the oldest restaurants in America, and the oldest that has been continuously operating since being opened in 1826. Although it is a magnet for tourists from far and wide, we locals still appreciate their famous clam chowder and Sam Adams on tap. The drawing presented several challenges. Finding just the right angle to capture the building, and then determining the best way to draw so so many bricks without making the overall appearance seem monochromatic. I like the end result, and I hope you will as well. Enjoy the art!
