Piece description from the artist
A pen and ink drawing of the Haymarket in downtown Boston, Massachusetts. The Haymarket attracts one of the most diverse populations of any market around. Customers include almost every imaginable ethnic group and income level. Haymarket is the primary place where most of its shoppers buy produce and it serves a vital role in the inner-city Boston food distribution system. In creating this drawing I was attempting to recreate the "mishegas" and confusion that reigns over the market on busy weekend days. But of course, without showing a single human. As there are in real life, I've placed a few rodents and felines here and there in a whimsical manner. It's challenging to draw a scene like this, which doesn't have a particular center of focus, so creating a sense of depth and noise was important to me. Enjoy the art!

His appreciation of the cityscapes, parks, sky lines, and local architecture has led him to focus his creative efforts on capturing them in pen and ink drawings. Conor's 'Boston Scenes' gallery continues to expand every month as he peruses Boston and Cambridge seeking new and interesting subjects to draw.
