A pen and ink drawing of Boston's historic Downtown Crossing with the Old South Meeting House standing tall in the middle since 1792. Long ago, this was the heart of Boston's thriving shopping district. It has recently undergone a renaissance of sorts, with old buildings rehabbed, and new life being brought into the once gritty area. On the left is the famed Jeweler's Building where many an engagement ring has been purchased over the years, with the handsome clock ticking away on the sidewalk.
Conor Plunkett has lived in the greater Boston area for almost 50 years. His appreciation of the cityscapes, parks, sky lines, and local architecture has led him to focus his creative efforts on capturing them in pen and ink drawings. Conor's 'Boston Scenes' gallery continues to expand every month as he peruses Boston and Cambridge seeking new and interesting subjects to draw.
