Boston Common-Parkman Bandstand

Piece description from the artist

This drawing depicts the Parkman Bandstand located on historic Boston Common. The Bandstand, built in 1912, has been the scene of many political and rally and other large gatherings on the Common. What attracted me to draw this scene was the the contrast between the old gazebo structure in front of the very modern apartment buildings situated behind it along Tremont Street. It's hard to walk through Boston Common without seeing the Bandstand and admiring it's splendor.
