Boston's Old City Hall

Piece description from the artist

A Pen & Ink drawing of Boston's Old City Hall with the Ben Franklin statue out front. The grandiose, rococo, french second empire style of Boston's Old City Hall made this building irresistible for me to draw. The question at hand, was what angle to choose. I decided to put the statue of Ben Franklin front and center, and to draw the building in wintertime so the trees in front would not block the various lines I wanted of the amazing building. Built in 1862 is a prominent feature along Boston's Freedom Trail. Alas, it no longer has a government function, but is has been home to various dining establishments over the years. Nonetheless, it is a classic piece of Boston architecture. Enjoy the art.
