Piece description from the artist
A pen and ink drawing of Boston’s Seaport District along Fan Pier. On a sunny day this place is packed, so it’s nice to envision it a bit calmer. This is the newest neighborhood to be created in Boston which has so many historical sites. The walk along the cobblestone path next to the harbor is quite delightful and affords amazing views of Rowes Wharf and downtown. In the distance is the Old Northern Avenue Bridge spanning Fort Point Channel. The bridge used to rotate 180 degrees to let boats through, but it is now locked into place.
Conor Plunkett has lived in the greater Boston area for almost 50 years. His appreciation of the cityscapes, parks, sky lines, and local architecture has led him to focus his creative efforts on capturing them in pen and ink drawings. Conor's 'Boston Scenes' gallery continues to expand every month as he peruses Boston and Cambridge seeking new and interesting subjects to draw.
