Dusk on the Savannah Marsh. Peach and melon colors splay across a moody gray and Prussian blue sky and then reflect in the marsh waters below. Deep tones of green calm and cool the painting creating a gorgeous marsh scene with a bit of drama.
April is heavily influenced by the classical impressionists but strives to bring about elements of expressionism as well into her paintings. She uses color fearlessly and is always striving to "capture the light". April wants her paintings to invoke the feelings of her subjects and especially the wild feelings of being out of doors surrounded by the beauty of nature.
