Everlasting

Piece description from the artist

This old stone farmhouse has long been abandoned, but it one of the most unique original homesteads in Montana. Built by a wealthy cattle owner, it remains a testament to the ingenuity of the early settlers, who built amazingly strong and long-lasting homes using their own two hands and the materials found in the area. I love to photograph these old farmhouses, as I enjoy knowing that even after they're gone, there is a record of their existence to show how strong the human spirit is in the face of overwhelming odds, like those the early settlers faced when moving to the harsh landscape of Montana.
