An American White Pelican follows a gull (also known as a seagull) on a cold winter day at Lake Springfield in Springfield Missouri, United States. The American white pelican is a large aquatic bird from the They breed inland in North America, and typically move south to the coasts, as far as Central America and South America, in winter. So I was surprised to see them still here. Maybe it was because we've been having a warmer winter than normal.
