The Bodie Island lighthouse produces a flashing light, as opposed to a constant light. I wanted a close composition of the lighthouse tower, while also accentuating the light produced. The foggy conditions helped to show how the lighthouse throws its light outward towards the both the Atlantic Ocean and the Roanoke Sound.
Kolby is a photographer based in Rhode Island. Originally from Oregon, he enjoys photographing seascapes and mountain ranges. With a fascination for lighthouses and ships, he is always looking for the next opportunity to visit any coast.
