Piece description from the artist
This photo was a result of some urban exploration in search of abandoned train tracks and tunnels that would make for good photography. While I'd heard of this particular tunnel, I was not expecting to see the amounts of graffiti I saw when I got there. This photo resides both in my train and urban exploration portfolios and has come across as everything from scary to artful.
Gregorio was born and raised in Rome, Italy, and its from there that he attributes a lot of his passion for geometrical- and architectural-based photography. From humble beginnings with nothing more than a pin-hole camera made from a cardboard box, Gregorio has continued to push the boundaries of his black and white photography. His most recent works have centered around trains and nautical work, both of which were shown in galleries on Newbury Street in Boston, MA.
