Piece description from the artist
From the Figures & Static Series. This piece is a collaborative work as I had the model doodle with colored ink onto the primed canvas about whatever was on her mind at the time. I then applied a light coat of gesso over the doodle so the marks she made would bleed through. The image itself is based on a photo of her that I took during our time together. This piece not only captures her likeness in a gestural way, but the view can see how she expressed herself that day.
