The Lake District belongs to the most beautiful regions in England with vast landscapes, glassy lakes and Romantic views like these. Because I made this photo end of May I had to get up really early (03.00 hrs) to catch the sunrise, but it was worth the effort. The circumstances were great. Beautiful colors, perfect reflection and just a little bit of mist for a fantastic atmosphere. Romantic scenery at its best that brings peace to a work or living space.
Frank Peters is an award-winning fine art, travel and landscape photographer from The Netherlands. Winner of the International Photography Awards (IPA, New York) category Minimalism and awarded in global photo contests since 2015.
He has a preference for vast landscapes; mountains, hills, countryside and open water. But he also appreciates dynamic skylines. To photograph the best locations and light Peters enjoys walking for miles, climbing mountains, enduring extreme cold and waiting for hours for the right conditions. His dedication reflects in his images. In 2019 Peters published 'The Story of my Light', a book with the stories behind his best photos.
