This painting is one of 8 paintings in a series. I named the series Quiet Nature. The series is a reflection of nature in very neutral colors, a limited palette. The colors are soft grays and blues, soft greens and golden yellows and browns, a palette which gives a sense of quiet nature, like walking along the beach in the early morning or early evening when nature is calm and quiet.
Karen is an artist for over 35 years. Prior to painting full-time – the artist worked in many creative fields in the design world. Living on the beach in CT, her work is influenced by the changing atmosphere and nature. She studied impressionism for 8 years. Her work is collected internationally and has been represented by many galleries throughout her career.
