Piece description from the artist
For a couple of seasons I commuted along the same path crossing the Mystic River in Medford, Massachusetts. I photographed the river in different weather conditions and the winter output turned out particularly magical. The waters take on different character depending on the day.
This is one of three shots—a fractalized edge of ice, frozen objects and cracks, and deeply mysterious ice hole—that I’ve placed together like a puzzle in a larger triptych.
Somerville / Greater Boston artist, designer and musician. Specializes in modern conceptual photography, especially colorful hi tech botanicals and art deco & geometric influenced abstracted & painterly photography.
