Quincy Market, Boston

Piece description from the artist

A pen and ink drawing of Boston's historic Quincy Market, shown here in the wee hours of the morning, before the jugglers, street performers and tourists flood the place. It was constructed in 1826 and named in honor of Mayor Josiah Quincy, who organized its construction without any tax or debt. It had fallen into disarray until the late 1970's when the market underwent a complete transformation and became the epicenter for tourism in Boston, with its various food offerings, pushcarts, and entertainment. Enjoy the art!
