Setting sun in the meadow

Piece description from the artist

This pastel painting was inspired by the warm light of the setting sun in early summer in Virginia. I was attracted by the light hitting part of the flowers when others stayed in the shade. The blue haze of the distant mountains and a small barn added to the beauty of the piece.
