Piece description from the artist
This work is currently on exhibit at District Arts Gallery in Maryland. Shelby's Backyard is a vibrant landscape painting created in a unique Pop Art style style. It is a re-creation of a cloudy gray cold day in Indiana, painted in colors of pink, red, orange and yellow. A dear friend sent the artist a beautiful set of black and white photographs in the attempt to communicate how cold and wintery it was while I reside in the summery climate of Florida.
