Summer by the Pool

Piece description from the artist

A natural country pond draws the black Angus cows from the pasture for a hot day cool-down. Cows are such interesting creatures, as they are hardy and able to withstand cold winter temperatures with very little shelter, but also seem to need ways to cool off. on the summer heat. They are social animals, and love to be together, so you will often see them traveling in pairs or lines of three or four on their way to get food or a drink of water from the pond or water tank. I have always enjoyed them and they are one of my favorite animals to photograph. Their big ears listen intently to every little sound and they are very curious about newcomers.
