Piece description from the artist
Photo taken on the 12th Street Viaduct which leads from downtown Kansas City to the West Bottoms. West Bottoms was the seat of industry and commerce for the City in the 1800s and early 1900s. Now it's mostly warehouses, antique dealers, condo conversions and train transits. Perfect noir location.
David Remley has loved every minute of his 36 years as a professional photographer. He is most proud of the vast variety of subjects he has been able to capture using styles such as black and white photography, macrophotography and color photography. He particularly enjoys self-assigned journeys with a particular camera-lens combination or a theme in mind. In addition to working in stills, David is also a videographer for both weddings and various businesses. The black and white works of John Sexton have greatly influenced David’s artistic point of view, while Annie Liebowitz’ commercial work continues to influence his eye for portraiture.
