Wild Los Angeles

Piece description from the artist

When I lived in Los Angeles for 12 years, it was an evolution for me to accept how the landscape contained a thriving wilderness. At the time I was working in film, and missing the wide open freedom of the Rockies. So I made a habit of balancing long days on set with jaunts to the ocean. The beaches of northern Los Angeles County are some of the most spectacular wilderness I have known. Never mind that the indulgences of Malibu stand on the cliffs above. To this day, even though I consider my soul to always roam in the Rocky Mountains, I find the roaring ocean beaches of northern Los Angeles County do answer those whispers that called me to creativity in the beginning.
