Piece description from the artist
This drawing is of the Flour and Grain Exchange Building located in Boston, Massachusetts, circa 1892. An amazing piece of architecture in the heart of Boston. it might remind you of the Flatiron Building in Manhattan, but with a stylish crown at the top. It was the original home of the Boston Chamber of Commerce, but is more recently known as the home of Christopher Kimball's Milk Street cooking show.
Conor Plunkett has lived in the greater Boston area for almost 50 years. His appreciation of the cityscapes, parks, sky lines, and local architecture has led him to focus his creative efforts on capturing them in pen and ink drawings. Conor's 'Boston Scenes' gallery continues to expand every month as he peruses Boston and Cambridge seeking new and interesting subjects to draw.
