Looking closely at "Chaos and Order," the viewer can see the initial layer of handmade papers. This layer adds background structure, texture, depth, and interest. The cool green in this painting evokes a sense of nature, while the blue and green bring a feeling of calmness. As the focal point, the soft, white square brings stability to the chaotic forms and is the perfect shape to balance out the organic, expressive marks. The many free-formed, rudimentary, and subtle visual elements and textures entice the imagination while suggesting nature's primitive essence.
