Piece description from the artist
During a long summer of forest fires in New Mexico, the atmosphere often reflected the fine smoke particulates permeating the air. Such was the case on this particular evening at White Ridge. We were treated to such moving atmospheric phenomena, that was tempered with the realization that forest fires were raging in the nearby Jemez Mountains. It was a terrible and moving beauty. We left inspired and pensive, pondering how we could continue to live and grow as human beings in the ever changing environment.
