I Keep The Book Of Names (detail)

Piece description from the artist

We all have a story, a history, a family. Branches of my own family have been documented through countless generations. There is a book with names of those who came before, reaching back over 500 years. I keep the book of names. Opening random pages, I read about great, great, grandmothers and grandfathers and ponder what their day to day lives were made out of.
