Sun setting along the length of 42nd street in New York city known as Manhattanhenge. I was very lucky with this shot – just in New York for a few days and I found out, that evening, that ManhattanHenge was set for the evening and I was only a few blocks from 42nd Street. And the weather was perfect! This is the result.
Steve Heap has been a photographer for over 50 years now (which is frightening to think about!) but in that time he has developed an eye for what would make a striking piece of wall art. Photography is all about the light and his finest attribute is patience! Waiting for the conditions to be just right is the key to making a piece of art that you can be proud of. Of course, luck plays a part, but without that patience of being in the right place at the right time, it just becomes a snapshot. He focuses on capturing images from around the world – timeless shots that reward the viewer with insights as they spend more time with them!
