Rocks on the beach in a coastal landscape. Waves crash on an unspoiled beach with an outcropping of rocks. Cool colors of greens, grays, and blues are complemented by the warm light in the sky. Part two in a set.
April is heavily influenced by the classical impressionists but strives to bring about elements of expressionism as well into her paintings. She uses color fearlessly and is always striving to "capture the light". April wants her paintings to invoke the feelings of her subjects and especially the wild feelings of being out of doors surrounded by the beauty of nature.
