Piece description from the artist
An early expression of some of my most deeply held beliefs about the human interaction with nature, and the redemptive, empowering outcomes. Over the years, this sort of scene has become its own form of genre. Yet recalling those earlier days, when at the outset, the natural experience was not beset with the snark of modern times, the notion of throwing your arms to the sky against a magnificent sunset was enough to bring peace and purpose. On this day, the sky was singing in silent hymns about joy. We could only raise our arms in joyful appreciation!

Kevin’s work aims to bring to light the inimitable, and often contradictory beauty that exemplifies the landscapes, destinations, and unique brand of individuals that make up the American West.
