Alone with the Atlantic as the sun rises, I am reminded of how we are part of a connected ecosystem. The ocean takes and gives away and the sound of the surf can be both soothing and terrifying. On this morning, the waves were relatively gentle and I watched the sun come up over the horizon while the sounds of the sea whispered to me.
