Illuminated Ferris wheel at National Harbor, known as the Capital Wheel with dramatically illuminated clouds from the setting sun over the Potomac river. The lights on the wheel add to the image and the marina and boats in the foreground add a little mystery as they are approaching silhouettes. National Harbor, in Maryland, is a popular evening destination easily reached from the nation's capital of Washington DC.
Steve Heap has been a photographer for over 50 years now (which is frightening to think about!) but in that time he has developed an eye for what would make a striking piece of wall art. Photography is all about the light and his finest attribute is patience! Waiting for the conditions to be just right is the key to making a piece of art that you can be proud of.
