The Golden Hour

Piece description from the artist

‘The Golden Hour’ celebrates the golden hour light on the dunes at the beach, near where I live in New Zealand.

This serene time announces the arrival of the day. I have used a variety of media to capture the movement and depth of a moment that will vanish with the changing light.

The use of multiple mediums also conveys the haphazard and textured growth throughout the dunes in spring. Cascading freesias and chaotic beach grasses frame the path that leads to the beach.
