Piece description from the artist
A pen and ink drawing of Boston's historic South Station. If you are a non-car commuter into Boston, odds are that traveling through South Station has been part of your daily ritual at some point in time. It is the largest railroad station and intercity bus terminal in Greater Boston. Constructed in 1899, it is used by thousands of commuter rail and intercity rail passengers daily. I intentionally chose to include The FED building in the background, attempting to create an interesting juxtaposition between old Boston vs. new Boston. The two buildings couldn't be any different in style and architecture, but both are an integral part of the city's fabric. Enjoy the art!
Conor Plunkett has lived in the greater Boston area for almost 50 years. His appreciation of the cityscapes, parks, sky lines, and local architecture has led him to focus his creative efforts on capturing them in pen and ink drawings. Conor's 'Boston Scenes' gallery continues to expand every month as he peruses Boston and Cambridge seeking new and interesting subjects to draw.
