Out of the Blue

Piece description from the artist

For "Out of the Blue," I wanted to capture the horse's forward motion and exaggerate the horse's red color so that its form would pop. To complement the red, I chose shades of vibrant blue for the background and green for the foreground in similar tonal values.
I love using bold colors to create mood and adding lots of texture to my paintings for interest, dimension, and depth. The fact that this horse has a bright white blaze was a bonus because it is a natural focal point and brings the viewer's eyes to the head of the horse.
